How Much Water Should You Drink Daily?

We all know the importance of drinking an adequate amount of water for health and longevity, but how much is adequate? There are differing opinions on the subject which can become confusing at times.

In this post I will share what your daily water intake should be (in ounces), why it is so important and a few reasons why water and sufficient hydration is the main key to living a stress-free, disease-free lifestyle.


Recommended Daily Water Intake

Our body is made up of 75% water. 

Water seems to be a very important piece for our body and critical to our overall well-being. It is the solvent of the body and a huge contributor to cellular health and the movement of important functions.

You should drink at least half of your body weight in ounces each day to supply your body with enough water to function at its highest levels and keep it properly hydrated.

At the absolute minimum you should drink 6-8 8 ounce glasses per day.

Example: If you weigh 200 pounds, you should drink 100 ounces per day.

If you weigh 120 pounds, you should drink 60 ounces every day.
