“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to purse them.” – Walt Disney
After reading that quote you may have had one of two thoughts: That quote is corny and I choose not to believe it; or, that quote is fantastic and I choose to adopt it as the truth.
Two polar opposite decisions, but each a choice, a choice that YOU make.
What does this quote and your belief about it have to do with how to believe in your dream?
It’s at the basis of the very fact that, whatever you believe and perceive is going to be true for you.
Today I’m going to share with you a few tips on how to believe in your dream which first begins with believing in yourself even when no one else does. To feel strongly that you have the ability to achieve anything and have the self- confidence to step out and make your dream a reality.
How To Believe In Your Dream
- Previously I wrote about how to boost your self-esteem which will show you how to develop self-confidence. This is the first step in believing in your dream, whether it’s owning your own business or being the fittest person on the planet. Loving and accepting yourself as you are, having the confidence to go against the grain and make un-conventional decisions. If you have the courage to believe in your dream you must first have confidence in yourself, believe that you can make your dream a reality.
- This might be the most important part of how to believe in your dream; accepting others disapproval of your behavior and decisions. If you want to have the confidence to pursue your dream you must begin to make your own decisions and leave others opinions behind. When you first decide to make your dream a reality, unfortunately much of your family will tell you to “Be realistic” or “C’mon you really think that’s possible?” When Kelli and I decided to become Herbalife coaches our friends and family told us it wouldn’t work. We had to believe in ourselves and our dream to pursue it and we are so grateful that we did.
- Accepting this Quote as truth.
- In order to believe in your dream you must surround yourself with other people that are supportive of your dreams or at least are willing to cheer you on as you pursue them. One of my favorite quotes is, ‘You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with’. To me, this is a powerful quote. In order to believe in your dream it is important to spend your time with people who are positive and are also going after their dreams and goals.
